Alone, abandoned and slightly forgotten, fortress by the river Sava was silent and unattractive for citizens of Šabac for decades. However, this summer everything changed. Owing to the first Šabac Summer Festival, Šabac returned to Sava, and Stari grad received new life and new purpose. It became a stage for artists, musicians and actors from all around Serbia. Fortress with new lights, arranged quay, excellent performers attracted a lot of people interested in quality entertainment. Municipality of Šabac organized the Festival taking care of all tastes and generations, thus giving the old fortress a new life, and new cultural manifestation for Šabac to be recognized by.
